چکیده

The development of innovative transformation techniques for various wastes generated by the agri-food industry is one goals sustainable waste management oriented toward “zero-waste” approach. This includes production bulk and fine chemicals, bioactive compounds, enzymes functional materials from waste. present research shows possibility value-added products eggshell using chemical acetic o-phosphoric acid at a laboratory scale level. Eggshell-derived calcium acetate monohydrate hydrogen phosphate, both high purity, as well corresponding membranes valuable by-products, were produced. Chemical 100 g with 10% (w/v) resulted in 111.41 ± 2.13 2.90 0.14 membranes, yield 79.16 1.98%. On other hand, 15% yielded 77.06 6.21 phosphate 2.94 0.08 71.36 5.58%. met all prescribed criteria food-grade additive, determined physicochemical analysis. majority, except water insoluble formic oxidizable impurities content. Based on obtained results, it can be concluded that proposed process two different acids might useful additives, by-products.

eggshell formation in Tsaiya ducks and Leghorn hens. DIETARY CALCIUM EFFECT ON CALCIUM AND MAGNESIUM CONTENT IN EGGSHELL

Tsaiya ducks and Leghorn hens are the two major laying birds raised in Taiwan. They are all excellent egg layers. Tsaiya ducks are small in body size (1.3 kg) with bigger egg weight (65 g) and stronger eggshell breaking strength than eggs from hens. The eggshell consists mainly of calcium carbonate, hence calcium plays an important role in the eggshell formation. Magnesium is also present in eg...

Ileal Digestibility and Bone Retention of Calcium in Diets Containing Eggshell, Oyster Shell or Inorganic Calcium Carbonate in Broiler Chickens

This study was conducted to compare ileal digestibility of calcium, dry matter and ash, growth performance, gut characteristics, bone parameters and retention of calcium in broiler chickens fed diets containing different calcium sources. A total of 96 commercial Ross 308 broiler chickens were allocated to three experimental diets. The experimental diets included a diet containing inorganic calc...

Comparison of Phosphate Lowering Properties of Calcium Acetate and Calcium Carbonate in Hemodialysis Patients

Hyperphosphatemia has an important role in the development of secondary hyperparathyroidism and bone disease in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). The most effective method of phosphate elimination lies with phosphate binders, the agent that more commonly used, calcium carbonate, is not an ideal binding agent. In this regard, calcium acetate has been reported to have more or at least...

Calcium Acetate Versus Calcium Carbonate as Oral Phosphate Binder: Preparation and In Vitro Assessment

Calcium acetate is used as an oral phosphate binder to control hyperphosphatemia in patients with chronic renal failure. Compared to calcium carbonate, control of hyperphosphatemia can be achieved at lower calcium administration with calcium acetate which likely reduces the risk of hypercalcemia. In this study, various formulations of calcium acetate tablets were prepared and their disint...
